Exceptions to the cell Theory:
1. Skeletal muscle, made up of muscle fibres, fibres enclosed inside a membrane, much larger than most cells (300mm+)
2. Giant Algae, Acetabularia, can grow to a length of 100mm, only contain a single nucleus so not multicellular
3. Aseptate fungi, consits of thread-like structures called hyphae. These hyphae not divided into sub-units containing single nucleus, instead long undivided sections of hypha which contain many nuclei.
